Ahem. And now for something completely different.
Hey there CP reader,
Welcome to the brand new, super high-quality citypaper.net
We've been banging our heads together for the last few months, working to revamp our humble little Web presence for you. If you're like us, you were probably kind of fond of the scrappy little site we used to have up here. In the same way you're fond of Allen Iverson. But we want a winner. The old citypaper.net sure was a little tiger of a site. But all little tigers have to grow up. We figured we were all ready for something new, better and even awesomer a site that could play D as well as slash to the hole. After all, don't you deserve it? We encourage you to jump right in and poke around. But if you want to swirl your toe around a bit, here's a quick primer:
Primary Navigation
Here's where you can find all the articles you find in your trusty wood-pulp-and-soy-ink City Paper. All the sections and columns you know and love, plus The Clog and the Scene and Heard blogs. It's all right here.

Secondary Navigation
This is our "hot" section. It's where you'll find online-only features like Jon Solomon's Local Support Podcast, The CP Streaming Player/Music Store and our totally free classifieds section. We've also got quick links to I Love You/I Hate You, DJ Nights, The Bell Curve and featured columnists (Blunt, Doll, Canon, 'Pack, etc.)

Level Three! Navigation:
This is right below the secondary navigation, so you can just think of them as the same thing if you want. This is a lot of stuff about us and how you can get in touch with us: Write a letter to the editor, search our archives, suggest a story, submit a listing or a restaurant, find out if we're hiring, learn how to advertise with us, or tell us how totally awesome our new Web site is.
Print, E-mail, Write, RSS:
You'll find four little orange buttons at the top of each article. The first one lets you print the article (gives you a clean layout and all). The second lets you e-mail the article to a friend (or enemy!). The third lets you send a letter to the editor about that specific story. The fourth is the RSS feed. Plug it into your reader!
Right now!

Restaurant Search:
This is something we've been developing over at the old site, but which is so wonderful we're going to shout about it here, too, because it's the cornerstone of our new and ever-expanding searchable listings. Want to find a Brazilian restaurant in Northern Liberties? Parents taking you to dinner and you need to find an expensive place fast? Looking for a 24-hour, wheelchair-accessible diner with a liquor license?
You'll find it here.

Movie Search:
Find a movie by title, by theater, by rating, by recommendation. Hell, find only the movies we did haiku reviews of. No more making your eyes bleed wading through an unformatted block of movie times.
You're welcome, eyes!

Event Search:
Search our online listings for music, art, comedy, kids, action adventure this is where you'll
find everything in our Agenda section, and more.

Article Commentary:
At the bottom of each article, you'll have the option to leave a comment. Click on "comment on this article." If you haven't chosen a user name, make one of those (you only have to do it once). Then comment away. We'll have to approve your comment, but we'll be quick. Swear.

The More Articles Bar:
Once you've clicked on an article in, say, News, you don't need to go back to the News main page to read the next news article. The "More Articles" bar to the right of the story you're reading will direct you to the rest of the items in the section. It's like the table of contents all over again!
We're still tweaking a few things (of course it's the Web), and we're planning on adding even more features in the coming months. Please tell us what we're doing right, and please tell us what we should do better. Please.
