American Mortals hosts this shindig featuring artist Jason Andrew Turner’s portraits of the Wash West hair salon’s super-cute stylists. Turner draws with a mechanical pencil, which allows him to create an intricate, intimate take on expressions and images. Illustrator and muralist Nosego will also showcase one of his quirky murals. His influences include early graffiti art — evident in his bold colors and playful subjects. Both Nosego and Turner are selling limited-edition items to benefit PAWS, Philadelphia’s biggest no-kill animal shelter. Local spirit makers Art in the Age and Quaker City Mercantile are providing the drinks.
Sun., Dec. 9, 5 p.m., free, American Mortals, 727 Walnut St., 215-574-1234, americanmortals.com.
