Making Time

Fri., Sept. 7, 9 p.m.-3 a.m., $10-$15, Voyeur 1221 St. James St.

After a summer of al fresco dancing, Making Time is bringing the party indoors. On the main floor, Stockholm’s Holograms are headlining, doing their driving post-punk thing: hollow, synthy and dark, with equal doses Joy Division and The Gun Club. Opener TEEN is an all-girl outfit from Brooklyn. Their vocals have a driving cadence that balances into a poppy dream, when laid over a cloud of spacey, fuzzed-out guitar. Optimo will fly in from Glasgow to DJ with those ubiquitous Rock Tits dudes in the basement. As always: The lineup is solid and the party goes late. If you get there early, there are free PBRs and Sailor Jerry rum drinks, not to mention free hot dogs all night long.

Fri., Sept. 7, 9 p.m.-3 a.m., $10-$15, Voyeur, 1221 Saint James St., igetrvng.com.
