These guys definitely know how to party.
According to the barrage of New Year's Eve-related emails that have landed in our inbox over the past couple of days (Open Bars! Lobster Thermidor! Weird stuff from the State Store!), it looks like it's about time to start making NYE plans.
Our buddies over at Cheu Noodle Bar (255 S. 10th St.) are rolling out a very special New Year's Eve menu for the 31st including plenty of schmancy stuff like lobster, foie, encapsulated oysters (!) and sparkling sake. The four courser is going for $75 a head and there are four seatings - 6, 7:30, 9 and 10:30 p.m. Cheu is promising a night of amazing food, music and awesome drinks and we're going to agree that this is definitely going to be one of the more exciting NYE prix fixes happening this year. Seating is reservation only so give 'em a call at 215-287-2533 to reserve your spot. Here's a peek at the menu:
Encapsulated Oyster yuzu kosho, shiso
Miso Soup lobster, egg yolk, smoked tofu, bonito
Shaved Long Fin Tuna foie gras, persimmon, cucumber
Beef Rib fermented turnip, sesame, black garlic
Black Sesame Tong Sui umeboshi ice cream
