Okay folks, we're officially in Thanksgiving countdown mode. That means if you're in the market for a fancy pants turkey i.e. a bird not of the last minute, Acme variety, you'd better get on your game. For your Thanksgiving planning pleasure we've rounded up a few places around town to reserve your bird plus a couple joints offering some special desserts if pie-baking isn't your thing. Seriously, there is no excuse for a Butterball this year.
Whole Foods (929 South St.) is offering free range ($2.49 per pound), organic ($3.49 per pound), brined ($2.99 per pound) and broad-breasted heirloom turkeys from Koch's in Tamaqua, PA along with kosher birds from Oregon ($3.49).
