This event will bring that unmistakably briny New England lobster bake aroma to Center City's José Pistola's. Each guest will be served three courses: fish chowder, a 1.5-pound lobster and blueberry cobbler for dessert. Maine-based Allagash will supply the brews: Look out for their flagship White, the Dubbel and the barrel-aged Curieux, among others. It's part of the bar's All-American Beer Month. José Pistola's, 263 S. 15th St., 215-545-4101, josepistolas.com.
Avoid the clogged city streets this Fourth of July and get out to ChesCo's Brandywine Valley Wine Trail, a conglomerate of six local wineries. Each is hosting events throughout the weekend — highlights range from Penns Woods Winery's Chardonnay-accompanied pig roast to a wine and tapas tasting at Kreutz Creek. Keep it classy Saturday and Sunday at Chaddsford Winery with sangria slushies. Various locations, 610-444-3842, bvwinetrail.com.
Supper chef Mitch Prensky's popular Sunday Supper series will welcome July with a classic Fourth theme: the all-American barbecue. Prensky will take a dip into the tradition's Southern roots, with pork ribs spiced with cayenne vinegar sauce, braised collard greens and peach cobbler as a finishing touch. Enjoy with some of Supper's half-price wines. Reservations required. Supper, 926 South St., 215-592-8180, supperphilly.com.
Chef Robert Weinberg wants to provide perambulators with red wine, white chocolate and blue cheese — all American-made. It'd be wise to avoid the theme's jingoistic cutesy-ness and focus your attention instead on the delectable reds provided by Chez Colette (a Ravenswood red Zin and a Castle Rock Pinot Noir will be among the selections), white chocolates from Naked Chocolate Café and blue cheeses presented by Tavern 17 (don't miss the Despearado, a stinky cheese washed with fermented mashed pear). Various locations, 215-360-1996, cityfoodtours.com.
In honor of the world's most famous jailbreak, venture forth on an Eastern State-sponsored bar crawl. The first stop is the Belgian Café, where revelers can sip Belgian and German brews. In total, you can hit up six different bars, including the Bishop's Collar and Urban Saloon. If you're feeling peckish, veer off to BYO Trio, which will serve sweet and savory crêpes. Various locations, 215-235-3500, easternstate.org/events.

I am a BBQ lover. I must say that this place has some of the best tasting ribs
I have ever tasted. Everything they serve is recipe of their own. They have a
wide variety of different things to choose from, orginal tastes and unbelievable
sauce. Being a food critic of the past, I recommend this place to anyone who loves BBQ
