Best known for magnificent arch-itectural human entanglements, Pilobolus presents a unique blend of zaniness, theatricality and athleticism. The company’s body-bending creative construct-ions have wowed audiences at the Academy Awards and the Olympics. Pilobolus is one of the most popular companies to visit Philadelphia through the Annenberg’s Dance Celebration series, now in its 30th year. But even if you’ve seen them here before, you haven’t seen this program, which includes four Philadelphia premieres. One of the new works, “Azimuth,” is a gravity-defying collaboration with experimental master jugg-ler Michael Moschen; another, “Skyscrapers,” features six dancers making 32 costume changes in a four-and-half-minute piece that fuses tango and street dance. As usual, Pilobolus aims to entertain in the most amazing ways.
