Stars occasionally align to produce a mini-festival of a playwright’s work. Fevre Dreams’ recent Beyond Therapy, Temple University’s The Marriage of Bette and Boo, and New City Stage Company’s upcoming Bob Cratchit constitute a nifty Christopher Durang celebration. The best script is the Obie-winning Bette and Boo, a sweetly demented comedy about two kids in love tested by their dysfunctional families. Barrymore Award winner Dan Kern leads a Temple cast featuring local professional-actors-turned-grad-students Leah Walton, Julie Czarnecki and Charlie DelMarcelle, talents that make this revival a must-see.
Through Dec. 1, $20, Randall Theater, Temple University, 1301 W. Norris St., 215-204-1122, templetheaters.ticketleap.com.
