Philly doesn’t see nearly enough good Cajun bands. Bayou Brew will be a particular treat: two fiddles and a drummer who knows how to push the two-step, led by Louisiana native Jesse Lége on accordion and vocals. Count on them to play traditional favorites in the style to which you have become accustomed: No weak imitations here. Bayou Brew represents an auspicious start for the new regime at the local Cajun/zydeco music and dance society Allons Danser, which recently honored its founders with a jam-packed retirement party and a pep rally for another 25 years of live Louisiana-style dances in the Delaware Valley.
Sat., Jan. 12, 7:30 p.m. dance lessons, 8:30 p.m. band, $20, TK Club, East Hector and Apple streets, Conshohocken, allonsdanser.org.
