10-TRACK MIND: Capturing human sentiments to a tee

2. “T’aint Nobody’s Business if I Do” — Jay McShann

Another soundtrack-only find from the film American Splendor. This rare blues track has the sweet piano and melancholy soul of a Ray Charles piece but with more blues guitar and sax, making it a personal favorite of mine on rainy days. The song gets even better when you learn that Jay McShann was the “Hootie” who defined  the Kansas City sound.
