Hey, look! It's Philadelphia! The Answer Man, formerly known as Arlen Farber, was shot around these parts last summer. You don't get any Philly specific shots in the trailer, but the movie does include Philly homegirl Kat Dennings, who I'm a big fan of. Not to mention Lorelei Gilmore, aka Lauren Graham, who I've wanted to BFFs with since her Gilmore Girls days (please, I would have been a way better daughter than lamezoid-to-the-extreme Rory). Other than that, though, this movie looks like it kind of blows. I bet it's not terrible, but if you watched this and then a week later someone asked you the title, you probably wouldn't remember it. It would just be that movie with Jeff Daniels and Lorelei Gilmore. Now that that's over and done with, let's discuss how Jeff Daniels only plays asshole writerly types now. Sure, he's good at it but doesn't he want to try something new?

Movie opens in Philly July 24 but you can watch it OnDemand June 26.
