We are horrific today on Critical Mass. Earlier, we begged you to bring Paranormal Activity to Philly. Now, Exhumed Films says they expect their third annual 24 Hour Horror-thon to sell out way before the Oct. 24-25 event. You can purchase advanced tickets for $25 on from Exhumed site. Their Q&A on the bottom of that page answers any questions you might have (and it's pretty funny).

The Horror-Thon is a full day of scary movies ' both fan faves from the last 30 years and rare classics that are rarely seen, in addition to shorts and trailers. All films are kept top secret until the title card shows up onscreen. This year also boasts an art show, "All the Colors of the Dark," featuring work by 24 different artists. Last year Shaun Brady previewed the event:

"Coming into our first-ever show back in October 1997, we thought it would be a one-off double-feature and we'd hopefully not lose too much of our own money," says Joseph A. Gervasi, one-fourth Exhumed. "Eleven years on and we're still amazed that we could put on a 24-hour horror marathon in Philadelphia and sell out a rather sizable venue.

While the Exhumed site says they won't repeat films shown at last year's fest, here's a pretty sweet review of the 2008 Horror-thon complete with trailers from each movie shown.

Exhumed Films 24-Hour Horror-Thon, noon, Sat., Oct. 24-noon, Sun., Oct. 25, $25, Ibrahim Theater at International House, 3701 Chestnut St., exhumedfilms.com.
