BACK TALK: Sharon Osbourne's once and future tig ol bitties

Osbourne on Chelsea Lately

Christopher Seybert dishes on the week's best and worst moments in daytime talk.

New Line of Paperweights

When you’re a judge on America’s No. 1 summer show, co-hosting a successful talk show and managing the career of rock royalty, something’s gotta give. But who knew that for Sharon Osbourne that something would be her breast implants.

When Osbourne appeared on Chelsea Lately Monday, she revealed that, in addition to taking time off from The Talk this fall, she will also be having her breast implants, or as she calls them the “waterbeds” on her chest, removed. Sharon has admitted to having over $300,000-worth of plastic surgery done, so instead of tossing her implants (aka throwing money out the window), she plans on having them made into paperweights for Ozzy. That’s one unique way to go green!

Studly or Dudly?

A question that will never cease to enter the mind of a relationship-seeker is "what’s more important: a great personality or great looks?" But why do we even have to choose, can’t we have both? Unfortunately, the answer is usually no because you can’t have your cake and eat it, too, which is why it’s all too common to find a supermodel who thinks “Don’t ask, don’t tell” refers to her plastic surgery habits or a genuinely nice guy who wears an eye patch and is prematurely balding.

So when Alexander Skarsgård made his first American talk show appearance on Live! with Regis and Kelly Wednesday, I wondered if his good looks would be the extent of his appeal. The verdict? Inconclusive. While the show is very lighthearted and fun, the nervous Skarsgård took a very serious, often-boring approach as the interviewee. The turning point, though, was when he let loose and said “Let’s get naked,” offering a glimmer of hope that he may just be a member of the superhuman race.

Los Pensamientos de La Loca

When Kathy Griffin opens her mouth, you know you’re going to get an honest opinion. Whether it’s about her 91-year-old mother’s love of boxed wine or her thoughts on the latest breaking news in Hollywood, Griffin never holds anything back and her recent appearance on Lopez Tonight was no exception.

Griffin, who Lopez lovingly refers to as "La Loca", is nominated for an Emmy for the sixth time for her reality show Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List. When she accepted her first Emmy in 2007, she threw Jesus and his followers into a tizzy by saying, “Suck it, Jesus, this award is my God now!” How could she ever top that if she wins a third Emmy this year? One of Lopez’s writers’ suggestion was “This one is for the memory of Elisabeth Hasselbeck. She’s not dead; I’m just going to stab her with them.” Here’s hoping she wins again!
