BACK TALK: What’s worse, weiner or nipple?

Christopher Seybert dishes on the week's best and worst moments in daytime talk.

Nipplegate 2011

While everyone is talking about New York Congressman Anthony Weiner’s weiner, only one Hollywood family could potentially steal his thunder: the Kardashians. Making the rounds in New York to promote season 6 of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kourtney and Khloe made some news of their own Tuesday morning. At an appearance on Fox & Friends, Khloe’s mesh top shifted, revealing that she was braless.

After some racy tweets between the sisters joking about the nip slip, they showed up to Live! with Regis and Kelly and chatted about it. Kourtney was trying to make Khloe self-conscious, but it didn’t seem to faze her too much, as she jumped over to Regis’ chair and shook her ta-tas. As anyone knows, this could have been a lethal combination: a shimmying Kardashian and a 79-year-old man who’s had triple-bypass surgery. Thankfully, all parties involved escaped unscathed.

Oprah’s Replacement?

On Monday it was announced that Katie Couric signed a deal with ABC to join their news department in August and launch a syndicated daytime talk show in the fall of 2012. She appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno this week to discuss her exciting future with the network.

Even though she said that no one can replace Oprah, her new show seems to be trying to do just that. As a mixture of celebrity interviews, serious issues and topical talk, Couric’s show hopes to win over the housewives who are disoriented and devastated by Oprah’s absence. If Katie can find a balance between her perky Today Show persona and serious news anchor identity from CBS Evening News, then the show may very well be comparable to The Oprah Winfrey Show. If not, we may have another Tony Danza Show on our hands. Only time will tell.

Fergie, the Addict

The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, came out of hiding on Wednesday by appearing on The View to talk about her life-after-controversy docu-series (Oprah’s fancy way of saying reality show) on OWN, Finding Sarah.

The show will feature some of Oprah’s life experts, like Dr. Phil and Suze Orman, helping Sarah get her life back on track after she was taped selling access to her former husband, Prince Andrew, and subsequently was snubbed by most of the British royal family. She revealed that Dr. Phil diagnosed her as an addict of acceptance and approval. Could this lead to her joining the next season of Celebrity Rehab? Probably not, but a boy can dream!
