✚ Bernice McFadden Kicks-off African American Murals Exhibit

Just in time for Black History Month, Art Sanctuary is partnering with the Mural Arts Program to showcase Philly’s finest African-American murals. To kick-off the exhibit, author Bernice McFadden (pictured) will be discussing and signing her newest novel, Gathering of Waters. The award-winning novelist, who has been compared to the likes of Toni Morrison, writes “to breathe life back into memory” — a fitting complement to Philly’s history-through-mural art. Wed., Feb 15, 6:30 – 8 p.m., free.
