BOOKISH: Seeped in the spirit of global adventure

Each week, Nina Wilbach puts together a rundown of book-centric events that’ll keep you “lit” like a hot air balloon burner all week long.

✚ Frank O'Hara's Queer Litter

Giovanni's Room invites you to see one generation of queer poets pay homage to another. Twenty-six-year-old Alex Dimitrov founded the Wilde Boys Poetry Salon in NYC after being inspired by the poetic societies that came before him, most notably the New York School, where Frank O'Hara was a major player. Join some of the Wilde Boys for a night of readings to honor O'Hara, whose disdain for the conventional made him a defining literary figure. Each poet will read their favorite O'Hara poem, as well as share some of their own work. 5:30 pm, free, Giovanni's Room, 345 S 12th St., giovannisroom.com.
