CURTAIN CALL: Famous folks and those who love them
A Swiss fabulist, celebrity-hungry couples and an aspirational zookeeper take the stage this week.
CURTAIN CALL: Famous folks and those who love them

Double acts may not be de rigeur these days, but count on 1812 Productions’ Let’s Pretend We’re Famous to make you yearn for the glory days. Jennifer Childs, 1812’s artistic director, and comedy partner Tony Braithwaite delighted audiences with their last cabaret-style jawn, Let’s Pretend We’re Married. This go-round, they are taking on fame, fortune and the people who love them. Stiller and Meara, eat your hearts out.
Through March 25, $20-36, Plays and Players Theatre, 1714 Delancey St., 215-592-9560, 1812productions.org.
