CURTAIN CALL: The sexploits of beautiful people

POSTED: Tuesday, April 3, 2012, 11:00 AM

Theater rewards few things more than self-referentiality. So playwright Tom Dudzick made a smart move when he adapted his first experience with the New York stage into Don’t Talk to the Actors. Like Dudzick (who is directing Montgomery Theater’s production), main character Jerry Przpezniak is a Polish-American playwright from Buffalo whose wide-eyed naivete puts him in stark opposition to his zany Broadway cast. While it’s doubtful the show’s local actors have egos that match their New York counterparts, one has to wonder if the Montgomery crew might provide material for a sequel.

April 4-28, $23-35, Montgomery Theater, 124 Main St., Souderton, 215-723-9984, montgomerytheater.org.
