DJ NIGHTS BLOGGED: Collapsing New People @ Medusa Lounge, 4-21

POSTED: Wednesday, April 20, 2011, 12:00 PM

DJ Nights scribe Gair Marking on his most boogie-worthy pick of the week ...

WHO: Void Vision, Strawman, Paul Thorson, Von Gehl, Jane Pain and Passable Plastic

WHAT: Blind Prophet Records' up-and-coming Void Vision headlines this night, with a live set that promises to blend modern synth-pop with influences from the dark alternative sounds of the '80s and '90s. The residents are bringing extra lighting and smoke in for the nightand I’m sure the basement vibes will be proper spooky to set the vibe and get dark dancing in effect.

WHEN & WHERE: Thu., April 21, 10 p.m.-2 a.m., free, Medusa Lounge, 27 S. 21st St., 215-557-1981.

WHY: Because you like it when the cold wave shivers down your spine and makes you want to undulate to the beat.
