ICE PACK ILLUSTRATED: Spank Rock, Mikey Galactic, CA Conrad and, of course, Tyne Daly

Philly Beer Week just got a little tonier now that the Racquet Club is hosting a Brews & Bowties event on June 9 with Henry A. Davidsen.

WHOWHATWHERE: Before she appeared on Fox News’ morning show Fox & Friends with her boob-popping sister Khloe, Kourtney Kardashian was spotted in Teplitzky’s at The Chelsea Hotel in AC having breakfast with her baby and two friends. Two friends, by the way, is not a euphemism by any stretch of the imagination. On the same weekend that Joey McIntyre of New Kids on the Block was spied running through my Italian Market neighborhood before his show at the Wells Fargo, his fellow NKOTB Jordan Knight was in a nice cool radio station studio, MIX 106.1’s Xfinity Theater in Bala Cynwyd. Across the bridge in NJ, there were book signings to be had. Like Brian Johnson, lead singer of AC/DC yelling and signing copies of his new Rockers and Rollers at Bookends in Ridgewood, NJ. There was another screeching rocker, Kathie Lee Gifford, signing copies of her kid book, The Legend of Messy M’Cheany at Barnes and Noble in Princeton, NJ. Closer to home, E.R.’s Noah Wylie celebrated his birthday at the Franklin Institute with DJ Marilyn Russell by his side doing promotion for his new TNT show Falling Skies. Philly video mavens take heed: Philadelphia Brewing Company is blasting its first ever commercial on YouTube courtesy local filmmakers Peter Heacock and Woody Pase and star Blue Maxx Goat/Black Landlord Maxx. They shot the Kenzinger ad at Johnny Brenda’s (where they debuted it after the Roots Picnic on Saturday) a mere 24 hours after I spied Maxx buying ears of corn at the South Philly Acme. It was a lot of corn, man. Is he making moonshine? Another local hip-hop MC, Asher Roth with his bud Luke Christopher have a new tune and YouTube video “Roof Tops” in the airwaves. Lastly, there’s the Philadelphia Theatre Company who concluded its 35th anniversary season with a mega-gala at the Hyatt at the Bellevue. The whole affair was paaaaaaacked as lots of peeps sought to honor long-time board member Kenneth S. Kaiserman of Kaiserman Company, Inc. and PTC producing artistic director Sara Garonzik. The best part of the evening was its guest attendees Tyne Daly (star of the upcoming revival of Terrence McNally’s Master Class on Broadway), McNally himself, Kathleen Turner who starred in PTC’s world premiere of Red Hot Patriot: The Kick-Ass of Molly Ivins, Tony Award winner and frequent PTC performer John Glover, and Quentin Darrington, star of the recent revival of Ragtime. Fabulous.
