MISS DOCENT: Busted ears, Jewish trees and tattoo flash

POSTED: Thursday, February 9, 2012, 2:00 PM

Impressive permanent collections may have put our area museums on the map, but it's the rotating exhibits that keep visitors coming back. Every Thursday, Abigail Minor updates you on the newest and most browse-worthy.

The Philadelphia Photo Arts Center flashes into the scene with its "Of the Ordinary" exhibit,  displaying photography that examines “the process through which each of [the] images become art,” says exhibitions coordinator Christopher Gianunzio. Attendees of the opening reception will be able to walk through the gallery and converse with featured photographers Ron Jude, Christian Patterson, and Ofer Wolberger from 6-7 p.m.

Opening reception, Thu., Feb. 9, 6-9 p.m., free, through April 15, Philadelphia Photo Arts Center, 1400 N. American St. #103, 215-232-5678, philaphotoarts.org.
