THAT'S SO GAELIC: Our event picks for St. Patrick's Day

✚ St. Patty's Beer and Cheese Tasting Tour by Michael Gold

A St. Patrick’s Day without alcohol abuse sounds sacrilegious, but a select few do prefer a more refined booze-swilling experience. City Food Tours plans to satiate those highbrow imbibers with a St. Patty’s Beer and Cheese Tasting featuring eight craft brews and four artisanal cheeses. While only some of the victuals will be Eire-inspired, two hours of sampling beers ought to be enough to satisfy the leprechaun lurking within.

Sat., March 17, 3:30 p.m., $49, Triumph Brewing Company, 117 Chestnut St., cityfoodtours.com.
