REEL TIME: Drew Barrymore teaches whales how to lisp and Harry Potter plays a dad

With the help of City Paper film critics, Josh Middleton counts down the weekend's five new-movie releases, from least- to most-worthy of your precious time and hard-earned dollar bills.

No. 5: We're not reviewing Big Miracle, the sure-to-be-a-tear-jerker story about three whales getting trapped in an Arctic Circle ice hole in 1988. But we're sure you can safely expect three things: It's going to be colder than Nanook of the North's balls, there will be plenty of blow-hole action, and a rosy-cheeked Drew Barrymore will deliver her dialogue via that lispy, puckered-lip, from-the-side-of-her face thing she always does. Enjoy this haiku: "Liam Neeson must / kill three gray whales before they / reach the open sea." (UA 69th Street, UA Grant, UA Riverview)
