REEL TIME: Drew Barrymore teaches whales how to lisp and Harry Potter plays a dad

No. 2: Declaration of War is a French film that follows Romeo and Juliette (played by the film's co-writers Jérémie Elkaïm and Valérie Donzelli) as they spiral from being desperately in love to "what in the hell happened to my life" after their newborn son Adam is born. This "careening of moods," says critic Cindy Fuchs, is typical of the film, which returns to "montages and expository voiceovers" so often that "you feel like you're missing something in the too-quick passage of time." French people are so pretty, though. Read the rest of her review here. (Ritz at the Bourse)
