No. 2: So you're not voting blindly on your Academy-Awards party ballot sheet, the Ritz is screening the animated and live-action flicks nomintated in the short-film categories. Critic Cindy Fuchs says each of the entries in the live-action group represent "time, its elusiveness and ineluctable demands." Our favorite is Andrew Bowler's Time Freak, which is about an inventor who discovers a way to go back in time. "As he tries to explain [the concept] to his buddy, the film turns part Groundhog Day, part Big Bang Theory." Nerds rule! Read her reviews on the rest of the films here. (Ritz at the Bourse)
