1. If you pick one film to see this weekend, City Paper critic Sam Adams would recommend Carnage, based on Yasmina Reza's play about four hot-headed parents who lose their shit when their respective children get into a tiff at school. Adams says legendary director Roman Polanski is "in expert form, infusing the material with impish glee and executing it with breathless velocity." He also praises the cast, which includes Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet and John C. Reilly, for being "superbly on point, especially Foster, who does her best, most precise work in decades." You go, Jodie. Read the rest of his review here. (Ritz at the Bourse)
