SIDE-SPLITTER: A dose of comedy at its most weird and surreal

For a dose of comedy at its most weird and surreal, check out Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie (read Patrick Rapa’s review here), a film from the creators of Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim comedy series Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! and Tom Goes to the Mayor. Whether or not their brand of acid-comedy will translate well from 11-minute episodes to 94-minute movie is a worthy query, but with costars Zach Galifianakis, John C. Reilly, Will Ferrell and Will Forte it seems possible. On the other hand, the trailer may be more than enough for highbrow comedy aficionados. Bonus local connection, namesakes Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim met while attending Temple University.

Opens Fri. March 2 at Ritz at the Bourse, timanderic.com.
