SIDE-SPLITTER: Dropping f-bombs like it's our job

Al Harris on the week's top five comedy shows.

The name Alex Thomas might not ring a bell, but you’ve seen his work. The comedian started his career corralling Fly Girls as a choreographer for In Living Color, and was a writer for The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. There’s also a good chance you’ve seen him on the Jamie Foxx Show or in the movies The Players Club and The Wash. And if you weren’t too high, you might remember him as the emcee for Dr. Dre’s Up and Smoke Tour when it passed through town in 2000. If that list of solid bona fides isn’t enough to joggle your memory, here’s a clip.

Sat.,-Sun. Feb. 11-12, Tue. Feb. 14, 8 p.m., 10 p.m. and midnight, $25-30, Laff House, 221 South St., 2150440-4242, laffhouse.com.
