SIDE-SPLITTER: Our top four comedy shows of the week

POSTED: Thursday, April 5, 2012, 2:00 PM

Two guys with the same name make up the comedy duo We're Matt Weir. The two comedians will take a break from their regular gig at New York's Magnet Theater to headline a couple sketch comedy shows hosted by the Philly Improv Theatre. Expect the twosome to portray a barrage of zany characters during the course of their high-energy performance.

Thu. April 5, 9 p.m., Fri. April 6, 8:30 p.m., $8-$12, Shubin Theatre, 407 Shubin St., 267-233-1556, phillyimprovtheater.com.

I went to see We're Matt Weir last night and I am 100% not lying when I say the Mayor Nutter was at the show - laughing. This place is seriously underground and yet majorly awesome.
