SIDE-SPLITTER: Sharp-witted, raunchy absurdists

POSTED: Thursday, January 26, 2012, 1:00 PM
Filed Under: Comedy Stand-up

Bronx-born comedian Freddie Ricks is a chameleon who uses accents and physicality to bring a barrage of hilarious characters to life. Ricks' impression of Shakespearean child-support court is a prime example of his range and creativity. The comic, who has appeared on Def Comedy Jam and Showtime at the Apollo, brings his act to the Laff House for five shows this Friday and Saturday.

Fri.-Sat., Jan. 27-28, various times, $20, Laff House, 215-440-4242, 221 South St., laffhouse.com.
