SIDE-SPLITTER: Sharp-witted, raunchy absurdists

With Feb. 2 holiday fast approaching, don't pass up a free screening of the Bill Murray classic Groundhog Day, presented next week by the The Chestnut Hill Film Group. Watch Murray's depressed weatherman become unhinged as he's forced to relive the same day in Punxsutawney over and over and over and over again. Harold Ramis directs this hilarious film from 1993.

Tue., Jan. 31, 7:30 p.m., free, Chestnut Hill Branch of the Free Library, 8711 Germantown Ave., 215-248-0977, armcinema.com.
