THE GREAT INDOORS: Our favorite design boutiques in Chestnut Hill

POSTED: Tuesday, January 17, 2012, 2:00 PM

✚ Hipster Home

What it is: This home furnishings and accessories shop is most often compared to MoMA for their design-centered finds. Unlike Reinke’s cozy boutiques, Hipster Home cares more about every-day, essential design than guilty pleasures and pure beauty. Hipster Home carries everything from storage solutions and kitchen utensils to candles and gift cards. Modern, design-focused buys make this a shop for design-geeks and the minimalists-at-heart.

What to look for: We love their line of Gus Modern picks. There’s electronics, storage and furniture, our favorites being the Gus Modern Pony Chair and School Chair. Luckily, you’ll find a lot of it on sale now, including our favorite finds. 8236 Germantown Ave., 267-336-7259, shop.hipsterhome.com.
