THE SHOWDOWN: An all-night psychedelic dance party
Filed Under: Music The Showdown

Friday: Rock ’n’ roll isn’t dead because Nashville’s brother-duo Jeff The Brotherhood says so with their latest album, We Are The Champions. They play sloppy fuzz-powered rock that is powerful and reminiscent of the Ramones. 8 p.m., $8, PhilaMOCA, 531 N. 12th St. ➤ Philly’s first rap super-group Tuff Crew is still playing shows and laying down their late-’80s, early-’90s style that holds its own with Public Enemy and other legendary groups from hip-hop’s golden era. 10 p.m., $20, Tacony Billiards Club, 6201 Keystone St., 215-338-4733.
