THE SHOWDOWN: Freaking out with guitars

POSTED: Monday, March 12, 2012, 1:00 PM

Wednesday: Local indie/punk band Glocca Morra (pictured) sound like they would be a suitable act to play a raucous frat party. With an upbeat, guitar driven post-punk flare similar to The Hold Steady, Glocca mixes punk aggression with attention-to-detail, indie-rock stylings. 8 p.m., $8, Kung Fu Necktie, 1250 N. Front St., 215-291-4919.
