Friday: The Philadelphia-based string quartet Liebesfreud will be performing Ludwig Von Beethoven's String Quartet in C sharp minor (Op. 131) in concert featuring Geoffrey Michaels and Phillip Kates on violins, violist David Giles and cellist Charles Forbes. 5:15 p.m., Philadelphia Art Alliance, 251 S. 18th St., 215-545-4302. ➤ The harmony-laden folk band The Lawsuits (pictured) is an Americana-acoustic outfit from Philadelphia that has a classic folk sound focusing on harmony and lyrics. 7:30 p.m., $5, Kung Fu Necktie, 1250 N. Front St., 215-291-4919. ➤ Prolific singer-songwriter hailing from rural Massachusetts Meg Hutchinson plays low-key folk that is from the same musical branch as James Taylor and Norah Jones. 8 p.m., $25, Psalm Salon, 5841 Overbrook Ave., 215-477-7578.
