Saturday: Bluesy rock ’n’ roll ensemble The Heartless Bastards (pictured) just released their fourth album, Arrow, which is refined garage rock that features Erika Wennerstrom’s booming voice and searing guitar work. 8:30 p.m., $16, Union Transfer, 1026 Spring Garden St., 215-232-2100. ➤ The hip-hop legend Ms. Lauryn Hill has faced adversity and inner turmoil in her personal life, but she is reborn and dynamic as ever with her new brand of booming, orchestral-funk jams. 9 p.m., $59-$109, Ceasar’s Atlantic City, 2100 Pacific Ave., 800-223-7277. ➤ The edgy reggae artist from Philadelphia, Blayer Pointdujour, combines big afro beats and aggressive, in-your-face, hip-hop vocals. The latest EP, Port Au Prince, is a reflection of Blayer’s Haitian, reggae and punk backgrounds. 8 p.m., $7, The Level Room, 2102 Market St., 215-564-4202.
