THE SHOWDOWN: Knowing when to strip it down and fill it out

POSTED: Monday, March 5, 2012, 1:00 PM

Tuesday: Full of angst and confidence, Emily Greene (pictured) is an indie-pop artist with a style that delves into indie-rock and R&B/soul. 8 p.m., $16-$22, World Café Live, 3025 Walnut St., 215-222-1400. ➤ The indie/goth/acoustic/rock band Creepoid is (you might have already guessed) creepy sounding. Mixing acoustic guitars and high-fi distortion, the quartet has a strong grunge quality in their music that harkens back to the industrial sound of the ’90s. 9 p.m., $8, Silk City, 435 Spring Garden St., 215-592-8838.
