THE SHOWDOWN: Live music in Philly from April 2-8

Saturday: If Sade jammed an acoustic guitar and got a little funkier, she would sound like burgeoning artist Sierra Hurt, who runs the gamut from Latin to soul music. While her new album, Hurt (u), due out April 10, covers many genres it ultimately highlights the singer’s deep, tender, silky voice. 7:30 p.m., $10, Tin Angel 20 S. Second St, 215-928-0770. ➤ Once a drummer for Q and not U, then half of power-pop duo Georgie James, Title Tracks' John Davis, is a master of blistering, three-minutes-or-less, jangly pop songs. On his latest effort, In Blank, Davis wields crafty guitar melodies and Elvis Costello-like vocals, making for a solid album you can headbang with the whole way through. 7:30 p.m., $10, Kung Fu Necktie, 1250 N. Front St., 215-291-4919. ➤ In his free time away from Belle and Sebastian, guitarist Stevie Jackson (pictured) is usually working on covers, soundtracks and instrumental appearances. On his new solo album, I Can’t Get No, Jackson brings the same type of Belle and Sebastian ‘60s Brit-pop flavor to the table, but it's just a tad more theatrical and light-hearted. 8 p.m., $20, First Unitarian Church, 2125 Chestnut St., 215-563-3980.
