Thursday: With the voice of an angel and catchy rock tunes, Madi Diaz’s (pictured) sound could be compared to that of Taylor Swift, but less commercial. 9 p.m., $10, Johnny Brenda’s, 1201 N. Frankford Ave., 215-739-9684. ➤ Led by vibraphonist Behn Gillece, the Behn Gillece Quartet is commonly compared to great jazz bands that feature the vibraphone. 9:30 p.m., Dawson Street Pub, 100 Dawson St., 215-482-5677. ➤ Local female hip-hop singer Res and Brooklyn-native Talib Kweli comprise Idle Warship.  They’re alternative hip-hop you can dance to, similar to Nicki Minaj. 8 p.m., $25-$28, World Cafe Live, 3025 Walnut St., 215-222-1400.
