TO-DO LIST: An audio version of Andy Warhol

POSTED: Wednesday, March 14, 2012, 4:00 PM
Filed Under: To-Do List

FRIDAY: Devo's Mark Mothersbaugh called him "not only the Frank Zappa of his time, but also in some ways an audio version of Andy Warhol." Raymond Scott made music with machines, and left an indelible mark with his invention, The Electronium. His sounds wound up soundtracking shows such as Looney Tunes, The Simpsons, and Ren & Stimpy. This multimedia event honors his 75th year in the experimental-music-making business.

Fri., March 16, 8 p.m., The Rotunda, 4014 Walnut St., therotunda.org.
