TO-DO LIST: Daily event picks for April 4-10

If you type the phrase "street art" into Google, the results yield a whole lot of Banksy along with a few other visually striking pieces of graffiti. Suspiciously absent, though, is ishknits (aka Jessie Hemmons). Armed with a needle and thread, she leaves her mark. The official term for it is "yarnbombing," and so far this year she's tagged seats on the El and the entrance to City Hall. Now, she'll demo in front of the Art Alliance and then lecture on the inner-workings of the medium. For more information, check our Arts feature in today’s issue.

Thu., April 5, 5:30 p.m., Philadelphia Art Alliance, 251 S. 18th St., 215-545-4302, philaartalliance.org.
