He may be best known for writing children's books, but Maurice Sendak didn't mess around when he got down to business. The exhibit, "From Pen to Publisher" focuses on three works in particular, The Sign on Rosie's Door, Outside Over There, and Brundibar, and traces their transition from Sendak's mind to finished product. Rosenbach staffer Patrick Rodgers drops in to provide further details about the author's process of generating ideas and keeping publishers happy.

Thu., May 3, 6 p.m., $10, Rosenbach Museum and Library, 2008-2010 Delancey Place, 215-732-1600, rosenbach.org.
