The inspiration for "Silent Existence," the latest exhibit at the Philadelphia Photo Arts Center, sprung up from the devastation that struck Japan last year. The artist behind it, Tetsugo Hyakutake, has roots in Philly and tonight he'll sit down to shed further light on the project.

Thu., March 29, 6:30 p.m., $15, Philadelphia Photo Arts Center, 1400 N. American St. #103, 215-232-5678, philaphotoarts.org.
