TO-DO LIST: It's not going to be playing forever

Remember last summer when that Travel+Leisure piece came out calling us one of American’s filthiest cities? Yeah, not our finest hour. Before an argument of semantics breaks out, consider hitting up RecycleNow's Community Activist Training Session. Partnering with RecycleBank, they're on the prowl for volunteers to help get things cleaned up. The first gathering is taking place in Center City, and from there they're expanding outward to the neighborhoods. Wed., Jan. 18, 6 p.m., Academy of Natural Sciences, 19th Street & the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, cleanair.org.
