TO-DO LIST: It's not going to be playing forever

Will Shortz is the guy behind the crossword puzzle in The New York Times. He's been arranging the tiles since 1993. Pardon the pun, but Shortz has got the block on lock with regards to the enigmatology game. So much so in fact, that his degree from the University of Indiana is literally the only one that exists that covers the field of enigmatology. He'll be at the Penn Museum today talking about word games and playing a few with the audience. Tue., Jan. 24, 5:30 p.m., Penn Museum, Irvine Auditorium, 3400 Spruce St., 215-898-7000, penn-ppsa.org.
