TO-DO LIST: Step closer to the cliff and revel a bit

BENNIE’S ARMONICA: We give Ben Franklin props for all sorts of innovations, but his glass armonica is one that always gets lost in the shuffle. Essentially, its a way-more refined and streamlined version of the whole moving-your-hand-over-a-glass-of-water trick. It still sounds pretty neat, and its on display all day. If the mood is more hanging out, then perhaps consider gathering at the Piazza to watch the Flyers game on the big screen. Franklin's Armonica: Tue., Jan. 17, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., Independence Visitor Center, N. Sixth and Market streets, 215-965-2305; Flyers vs. Wild: 7 p.m., free, The Piazza at Schmidts, N. Second Street and Germantown Avenue, atthepiazza.com.
