Friday:  Michael Johnson is Ape School. He's done work with a slew of Philly's favorite homegrown indie bands (Dr. Dog, the War on Drugs, Kurt Vile) and will be releasing his latest album, Junior Violence, this weekend. Also performing: Norwegian Arms, which features Erick Slick, the Dr. Dog drummer who also does percussion for Ape School. 9:15, $10, Johnny Brenda's, with Jeff Zeigler & Mary Lattimore, Laser Background, Adam & Dave of the War on Drugs, 1201 N.
