Thursday: Laser Background, a band name that makes a mockery of the laser-background-portrait days, lives up to its silly title with indie "laser" pop, arcade noise and playful vocals. This show will debut the release of the group's self-ttled EP via the U.K. label Stroll on Records. 8 p.m., $5, with Arrah & the Ferns, The Circadian Rhythms, Kung Fu NEcktie, 1250 N.
