THE SHOWDOWN: Live music in Philly from June 25-31

POSTED: Monday, June 25, 2012, 3:15 PM

Friday: The Philly earx Picnic, a Mill Creekfestival taking place at various locations throughout the week, presents a night of hardcore and punk rock headlined by Oakland, Calif.'s punk rock fiasco Fucktard. This show is not for the faint of eas — lead singer John the Baker was arrested at Woodstock a few years back for the rotten lyrical content of his songs, which are now also banned in Germany. 7 p.m., $8, MillCreek Tavern, 4200 Chester Ave., (215) 222-1255.
