The best song off of Bruce's Working on a Dream — and it's technically only a bonus track. Guess Mickey will have to bring home Oscar gold for both of them.

I guess we shouldn't be surprised when the Academy renders strange judgements, but I just don't understand how such a great song, and one that works so well in its role in the film, doesn't even get an Oscar nomination. The fact that it won the Golden Globe shouldn't matter to the Academy and I think they might have completed the nomination process before the Golden Globes were announced. Still, the fact that 'The Wrestler' didn't even get the best song (whatever it's called) nomination tells you that those voting for the Golden Globes have a very different perspective from the Academy. I happen to think the Academy got it wrong, but that's just my opinion.

I saw Bruce for the first time that week, at Penn Stateâs Rec Hall. What a great show and what an atmosphere. I have seen him live at least 6 more times but that show will always be my favorite.
